Since the first mention of the name of Makarska in the year 533 at Salona Synod, many a traveller and a travel writer commended its gentle coves, olive-groves and vineyards, white strands and deep shade of pine groves, and above all the diligent and cordial hosts. Rukometni klub Kingtrade iz Makarske je u gradu Citta Sant Angelo boravio do sada tri puta, a zadnja razmjena timova se dogodila 1989. godine, od kada je suradnja i prekinuta te se, dakle, nakon više od dvadeset godina rodila ideja da se ponovno pokrene. Mnogi tadašnji igrači koji su danas u upravi talijanskog kluba poput aktualnog predsjednika, Enija Remigia, boravili su u Makarskoj tih osamdesetih godina koje se i dan danas rado sjećaju. To se posebno vidjelo iz nastupa i izvanredne organizacije prijema naših mladih rukometaša i delegacije kluba od strane svih članova Uprave kluba Pallamano Pharma+ Citta' Sant Angelo, uz stalan nadzor i asistenciju Željka Matkovića, bivšeg igrača i današnjeg trenera najmlađe dobne skupine talijanskog kluba koji na ljeto dolaze u Makarsku.
